Times to call
Between the UK and the Romanian capital, there is a 2 hour time difference. If you call Bucharest at 18:00 London time, you'll be reaching the country at 20:00. As Romania is 2 hours ahead of the UK, it's best not to call late at night.

Connex launched in April 1997 as the first GSM network in Romania, before being acquired by Vodafone in October 2005. Other networks include Orange (France Telecom), Cosmote Romania, Digi.Mobil and Zapp.
As of February 2010 Vodafone catered to over 45 percent of the Romanian mobile market, boasting around 9 million subscribers. This makes the network the seventh largest Vodafone subsidiary in the world, in terms of number of subscribers.
Orange Romania still reigns as the most popular mobile network in Romania, carrying over 10 million customers.
In 2010, the mobile penetration rate in Romania totalled in at 108 percent. Next year, it's expected to reach 120 percent.
