An eye-catching 3G clamshell mobile phone, the Sony Ericsson Z780i sports an overall compact casing measurement of 95mm x 48mm x 17mm. It is sturdy, yet comfortable to the touch, and is a considerable lightweight at barely 96 grams. The Sony Ericsson Z780i adds to the Sony Ericsson Z lineup, which has included the Sony Ericsson Z750i, and the Sony Ericsson Z710i.

The Sony Ericsson Z780i works on the clamshell system, making it very easy to flip open using just one hand. It has an external screen in monochrome, which essentially allows for its user the viewing of pertinent information, without necessarily opening the mobile phone.

Externally, the Sony Ericsson Z780i makes possible user options in terms of colour preferences. Users can choose at least two colour schemes – grand onyx or amethyst silver.

Viewing messages and other files using the Sony Ericsson Z780i is easy with the handset’s internal screen that displays bright 262,000 colours, shown on its TFT screen that measures 55.88 millimeters.
