A clamshell type of mobile phone, the Sony Ericsson W350i measures 43 x 104 x 11 millimetres, and tips the scale at 80 grams, inclusive of battery. Users can choose to have their Sony Ericsson W350i in orange-accented electric black, purple-accented hypnotic black, silver-accented ice or pale blue, or black-accented graphic white colours.

While highlighted by its edgy physical design, the Sony Ericsson W350i comes with a 48.26-millimetre external TFT display screen that showcases a maximum of 262 colours with a screen resolution of 176 x 220 pixels. The handset offers its users a selection of animated and picture wallpapers, as well as polyphonic ringing tones, to exude its user’s personality. A central navigation key allows easy exploring of the Sony Ericsson W350i.

The Sony Ericsson W350i works on tri-band technology, specifically on GSM 1900, GSM 1800, GSM 900 and GSM 850. The Sony Ericsson W350i offers an internal storage capacity of 14 Megabytes that can be further expanded through a micro M2 memory stick.

As the mobile phone can connect to the Internet, it also allows its users to compose, send and receive emails through the handset.

The Sony Ericsson W350i is part of the Walkman range of Sony Ericsson, joining Sony Ericsson W380i and Sony Ericsson W300i, which are all reputed for their support for quality audio. Accordingly, a banner feature of the Sony Ericsson W350i is its integrated Walkman player that supports all customary audio formats, namely MP3 and AAC. The Sony Ericsson W350i has additional features that make it walkman handset that it is known for. For one, the music phone has a TrackID system for music recognition, displaying the song title, artist and album when a song is being played. It also comes with a Mega Bass feature that enhances the bass frequencies of tracks, as may be adjusted by the listening user. Additionally, the Sony Ericsson W350i allows music downloads from the Web through its PlayNow feature, which depends on the user’s location and network provider. Besides a highly functional music player, the Sony Ericsson W350i also offers its users an FM radio to allow them tune in to their favourite stations.

Even when the clamshell Sony Ericsson W350i is closed, the mobile phone still allows access to external music keypads. Quality music may be experienced by the Sony Ericsson W350 users through the wireless Bluetooth stereo with A2DP.


Standard of the Sony Ericsson W350i is its organiser features that include an alarm clock, a calendar, a stopwatch, a calendar, a phone book, notes and tasks option, and a timer. Users can utilize their Sony Ericsson W350i even when aboard a plane by selecting the handset’s flight mode.

The Sony Ericsson W350i allows users to use the mobile phone for calls to up to 7 hours. When on standby mode, the handset is expected to last to up to 300 hours.

While mainly satisfying music lovers, some observers find that the functionalities of Sony Ericsson W350i are seemingly overpowered by its hyped music features. Most unhappy users attest that the handset may not meet the needs of those who expect to utilize it for business purposes.

I can not capture vedio through my w350i phone as well as i can not connect to the internet through my phone........ there is no vedio recoding option in my phone..... and no GPRS option is avalable..... kindly anybody please help me in this regards....

Sony Ericsson W350i, I seen this at one of the Sony Ericsson outlets at Jusco, Tebrau City. At first look, I fall in love with it and before I could approached the sales assistance, he came up to me with a new set still in a box. He started to demostrate the set and explain the functions to me. What impressed me is that this set is designed for a beginner (first set for my son), this set is excellent as my son likes lisening to songs and I do not have to buy an additional MP3 player. The sound quality is acceptable and sounds good with the packaged headset. The design looks like the old flip cover phone (T28) which I used in the early days. The dedicated MP3 players key are very well designed and overall it does not look like a phone, more to a MP3 player. The best thing about this set is the battery life, for a beginner, it can last for about a week between charges. The slim look fits perfectly into any slots or pockets without protruding or feel any weight. Furthermore it come with a one year warranty for the set inclusive of battery and accessories(if within one year, the battery or the accessories fail, a new one will be replaced)
