Nokia has always been known for producing good phones. If you go for the old adage; ‘Simplicity is beauty’ well then the Nokia 2310 phone is just perfect for you. Far behind the high technology phones coming out in the market, it still attracts many users.

Nokia 2310 is one of the simplest mobile phone the Nokia Company has come up with; a lot of accessories and it just comes with a charger and a headset only. It might not have all the features gadget savvies are looking for but it still can serve its main purpose, communication. As long it can send and receive SMS and picture messages and you are able to connect to the outside world, there would be no reason not to purchase a Nokia 2310 phone. You think only the higher technology phones can provide you fun? Check it again. It has three built-in games, fun way to kill your time. A built-in FM radio is also added to give you more fun keep updated with new songs playing on air. Only though you can not save the songs you love unlike those units with phone and card memory. You may not keep those favorite songs of yours but at least you can enjoy MP3 ringtones.

Along with a coloured screen are cool animated screensavers, personalized themes and wallpapers. Now you see it is not really as plain as you think. But then with all the gadgets coming up phones with just the basics is a no-no for the young generation. They would die to have one of the N-series phone or maybe a Blackberry phone or the newest and hippiest units from other known cellular phone companies like Ericsson and Samsung and would not even lay their eyes on a Nokia 2310 phone. What is good with this phone is that, it is one of the units with a long battery standby time of four hundred hours. That is almost two weeks folks! Most N –series phones can only stand for two hundred eighty hours when unused, one hundred eighty to two hundred ninety hours for most Motorola phones and a battery standby time from one hundred eighty to two hundred fifty hours. Now that puts the Nokia 2310 on the race lead.

Convenient, affordable and user- friendly as it is most of us should admit that a Nokia 2310 is not the kind of phone we can be very proud to show off or not the kind that we would be dying to have. But in all fairness, many users describe it as a versatile unit. It may be that simple but you can enjoy many more extra features like a calculator, an alarm clock, a stop watch and the very wonderful T9. T9 is a feature not found in all phones. T9 or predicted text makes texting easier. Phones equipped with a T9 feature are pre-loaded with thousands of words and give you easier access to different services too. Nokia 2310 would have been better if it was created with a higher memory or maybe if it had a slot for memory cards. It can only store ten missed/dialed and received calls.

Yes, Nokia 2310 can send and receive picture messages but it would have been better if it too had been created with Bluetooth and or infrared. Now the issue is not how powerful or not how expensive or technological Nokia 2310 is, it is how and how many people are getting satisfaction with the functionality of this phone unit. Choosing the best phones that would fit our lifestyle and budget is not easy. We might find a phone which meets all our needs but it might not meet our budget or may find a phone that is really affordable but features are unsatisfactory. Nokia 2310 can give you both affordability and desired functionality. But for those who want more than just the basics, this phone is not for you then. But again without any prejudice it can be said that Nokia 2310 is a good buy. Good features, good functionality and good price as well, who said it’s not worth buying?
