Number Porting
How to keep your existing number
You can only keep your existing number with the deals advertised on DialToSave if you are changing to a different network.
To keep your number without changing your network, you must upgrade by contacting your network directly. However, the deal you get will almost definitely not be as good as those new contracts advertised on DialToSave.
Whether you can keep your existing number also depends on your network and the retailer you are purchasing from.
You are responsible for checking the rules on the website of the relevant retailer, but below please find all the information we have available on the issue of porting (keeping your number when you change contract). We have done our best to ensure that the information is accurate but do not accept any responsibility for any errors.
3, O2, Orange, T-Mobile & Virgin Mobile
To our knowledge, it is always possible to port your number when signing up for a new contract with these networks, as long as you are changing from a different network. (This may be something worth checking with your retailer)
First of all, call your existing network's customer services from your old phone and ask for a PAC (port authorisation code).
Order your new phone as normal from the retailer.
Then, once you've received your new phone, call the new network's customer services from your new mobile phone using the numbers below, and they will arrange the transfer.
3 - 333
O2 - 202
Orange - 150
T-Mobile - 150
Virgin Mobile - 789
Of course, check the retailer's website (some links are below) in case they have any different rules.
Vodafone
Some retailers allow you to port your existing number to Vodafone, while other retailers don't. You will normally need to have obtained a PAC (port authorisationg code) from your existing network's customer services, BEFORE you order the new phone.
You must check the details on the retailer's website before ordering to see if it is possible to port your number to these networks. The links to the relevant pages that we could find are below.
