Following handling problems with my upgrade I was issued the MDA Touch (when in fact I wanted the HTC Touch Dual equivalent). I would steer away from this phone with a barge pole.

Cons
- no keyboard
- screen scrooling is jagged
- you always need two hands to operate it
- writing recogniser is lame, you have to write in a near perfect fashion for it to understand what you are writting.
- no 3G

Pros
- cube thing is fun >>> make sure when setting up the phone not to push too hard on dots on the screen as it will meen your finger will have to push just as hard to make it scroll<<

-nothing

in all this is a poor attempt to emulate the iPhone. Wait until T-mobile launches the Touch plus or HTC touch dual, then you get 3G, a number pad and a lot more joy.

I have recently upgraded from the MDA ll to the MDA Touch. I was well used to the way the MDA performed before I got the Touch and liked it which was why I decided to move with the times and stick to the same format.

At this present time I cannot fault the Touch, it does what it is supposed to do when it is supposed to do it.

I very much like the new extras like the weather and the 'cube'. It is very easy to use and considerably lighter in my pocket.

A point I have not seen on any other reviews is the simple pouch type case. Made of neoprene, it slides over the Touch and stays put so it is quick to remove when you get a call.

Another point not previously mentioned is the wonderful new screen protector, it is invisible once on the device, however I would say to take great car in fitting it as I managed to get a tiny amount of dust under mine and it annoys the hell out of me.

I am a pensioner and like to keep my phone with me as I go around the house, having had a few falls in the past and living alone I want to have my phone with me in case of any emergency. The Touch is lighter than my previous MDA and I can easily forget it is there until I need it.
