Encased in a sleek casing in a candy bar form factor and sporting a grey colour, the Samsung E1120 houses a set of quality features and practical specifications that fit the modern lifestyle. The mobile phone is easy to grip with the full dimensions of 105.6 x 43.0 x 15.1 millimetres. It is also a lightweight mobile phone, which tips the scale at 66 grams. Users can create a distinct personality to the practical handset with a selection of ringtones in MP3 format. It also comes with 40 polyphonic ringtones and supports downloaded tones that personalise the handset.
The mobile phone offers users with a display screen of CSTN type that measures 63.5 millimetres. The display screen is enhanced by the handset's full selection of wallpapers, themes and screensavers which can be displayed in 65,536 colours over a screen resolution of 128 x 128 pixels. Below the display screen, the handset offers a navigation joystick and a set of numeric keypad buttons for ease of use.
A handset that works over dual band technology, the Samsung E1120 covers the mobile phone networks of GSM 900 and GSM 1800. In addition, the handset allows users to surf the Internet and browse their favourite Web sites without the need for wire-tangled personal computers or bulky laptops. To do this, users can simply click on the WAP version 2.0 XHTML Web browser, which is pre-installed in the mobile phone. The handset is also powered by GPRS Class 10 and EDGE Class 10 technologies. Because of these, going online using the mobile phone means having the freedom to download applications in a speedier and hassle-free manner.
The handset offers the straightforward text messaging service or SMS. Users can speed up composing of text messages using the Predictive Input System that the mobile phone supports. It allows users to log their dialed missed and received calls through its Call Records feature.
Being a practical handset, the Samsung E1120 is endowed with a variety of organiser tools to assist business-focused users. The virtual business assistant has the organiser applications of a world clock, countdown timer, a stopwatch and an alarm clock to allow users to precisely keep track of time. It also comes with a built-in calendar for scheduling purposes. The handset is also equipped with a phonebook that stores up to 200 contacts and carries multiple detail entries, as well as a vibration alert to keep users always reminded and alerted of critical and urgent calls or text messages. For on-the-spot numerical and financial computations, the mobile phone comes with a pre-installed currency converter and calculator.
On-the-go users will also appreciate the handset for its support for handsfree calls through a built-in speaker. Interestingly, the mobile phone comes with a Mobile Tracker to help users trail the handset's location as well as its user's location.
The Samsung E1120 allows users to store their contacts and messages in its internal memory of 10 Megabytes. It is powered by the standard Li-Ion battery. Users can enjoy talking to their friends, families and other contacts using the mobile phone for a talk time of up to 9 hours and 45 minutes. The start-up kit of the E1120 also has a charger, which charges the handset for up to two and a half hours. Because of the longer talk time it offers, the mobile phone does not need to be charged frequently. When fully charged, it can stay on standby mode for more or less 580 hours.
Observers have complained of the mobile phone's lack of distinctive and modern mobile phone features such as 3G capability, Wi-Fi, Infrared, USB or Bluetooth for file sharing and device connectivity, or a memory card slot to expand its internal storage capacity. The handset has also been criticised for its lack of standard entertainment features that most handsets possess, such as a pre-installed mp3 player, radio support and built-in camera to capture still photos and record moving footages.
Nevertheless, users have appreciated the mobile phone for its simple and light, yet elegant external look and characteristics, as well as its user-friendly internal features and functionalities. Fantastic little hand set does all that I need to do and only a Tenner from Asda with £5 credit what more can you ask for. And I checked It was suitable for me before I bought it and of course it does what it said on the tin and no more.

elo im beky and i want to say that this is an okay phone but it has no bluetooth or memory or any ringtones basically it has nothin cant it hae bluetooth atleast derrr anyways tht all i had to say oh and csn u put music or bluetooth or anything in it atleast cuz i hav this phone and i want to put stuff in it u know stuff thanx.

i have owned this phone a week now after breaking my contract phone, i thought it was good value for money and does everything i need for a substitute whilst mine is being repaired
