O2 Cocoon is a carefully designed mobile phone that is at one with nature. This mobile phone has reached extents into what it should look like and how it should be. Before they actually made it they asked a few people from design major places around the world like London, Tokyo, Shanghai and Rio into what sort of phone would they want? The common answers were something original, emotional and something really natural. So O2 have decided to make a design such as the O2 Cocoon to meet the wants and expectations of these people that would really influence the whole world.

The O2 Cocoon is a technologically advanced music mobile phone that has the style that teens and adults would both love. It has that certain elegance and grace that a lot of phone-seekers at this moment would really want in a mobile phone. It comes to life with its LED lights that would say who is calling, what is your next message, what music are you playing and even greetings that you would fancy. This cellular phone is plainly filled with whatever your life would contain, and there is that simplicity, a touch of confusion, creativity and whole bunch more of human reflection in the mobile phone.

Before we get ahead of ourselves, let's explore more than just its physical beauty but also the things that it could give its user. The phone is generally both a 2G and a 3G network and as 2G it has GSM 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900 and as 3G it has HSDPA 2100 which allows the phone to be used as a modem. This is highly functional for people on the go whose work is also Internet based. It was announced in June 2007 and it is dominating the market for high-end phones. It has a dimension of 94 mm by 49 mm by 21 mm and it weighs just about 114 grams. Which makes it really small for an organizer phone. It displays TFT (thin filmed transistor) with 256k of colors. Its display size is on 240x320 pixels and it is just about 2.28 inches with a hidden LED display on its cover. It is a polyphonic phone and could handle MP3 and it could store up to 1000 phone numbers and names with a photocall system and it has 20 missed calls, 20 dialed number and 20 received calls for its call records. It has a memory card slot for microSD (TransFlash) up to 2 GB with 36 MB internal memory and 2 GB storage memory. It could get and store data through its GPRS class 10 with 32 to 48 kbps, its 3G which is 384 kbps, its Bluetooth version 2.0 with A2DP and its USB version 2.0.

This phone is such a fantastic phone which could send and receive short messages, multimedia messages and even access your emails. Its browser could either be WAP 2.0/xHTML or HTML. It has built in games like the Tetris, Ice Hockey and SIMS2 and you could also change these games and download them. Its digital camera could come up to 2 megapixel or 1600 by 1200 pixels and this could be used in video recording and it has a flash. It has an FM radio with RDS which comes along with its MP3 or AAC or AAC+ player. The O2 Cocoon also has a 3.5 mm audio output jack. It has a Java so downloading would not really eat much of your time. Imagine getting a phone and an entertainment center in one gadget, and your mind should give you O2 Cocoon.

Of course, basic features are also present: it has T9 text input for easier texting and for all those who have a stacked up schedule or just a messy one, the O2 Cocoon has its own organizer so you wouldn't have to trouble yourself in buying one, not to mention the fact that the phone has its own handsfree feature so talking and listening to your audio is hassle free! Its battery could last up to 350 hours in stand-by time and 5 hours in talk time which is actually one of its biggest advantages as a multimedia device.

Aside from its many features, none can criticize the stylish exterior which is pure white in color. It gives a professional and clean appearance which can be a disadvantage if your work involved a lot of dirt and grime. Other than that, however, this phone is highly recommended for those who can afford it. The phone is a bit pricey, which is understandable with the power packed with it.

The O2 Cocoon is one masterpiece which proves that man and nature can work together. It is a natural beauty that comes in one small pearly package everyone would love.

The O2 Cocoon is amazing! It's got such a unique shape and feel to it. I also really like the blue LED lights and how the phone also doubles up as a clock. I bought this phone for the music, and it hasn't failed to impress me yet. Some people complain about the inside being boring, but I think it's excellent, it has a spacious keypad and a large 262k colour screen which is really nice and bright.
The only fault I can find in it, is that it is quite a difficult shape when opened so making calls can be quite tricky. Never-the-less you get used to it.
In conclusion. If your looking for a phone which is dedicated to music, then this is the one for you.
