The Nokia N95 8GB succeeds Nokia’s original N95 version. As its biggest improvement, the larger screen is a highlight, besides its much bigger storage capacity for photos and other data files.

Sporting a dual-slide design, the Nokia N95 8GB sports the full dimensions of 99 x 53 x 21 millimetres, and has a weight of 128 grams. It flaunts of a large display screen that supports 16,000,000 TFT colours, at a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. Through its Accelerometer sensor, the Nokia N95 8GB embraces an auto-rotate feature. The mobile phone’s navigation keys are located at the display screen’s bottom part, which, although smaller, are easier to operate.

As the name suggests, the Nokia N95 8GB is called the multimedia mammoth, as it is capable of storing files of up to 8 Gigabytes. It also has 128 Megabytes of SDRAM memory. The Nokia N95 8GB runs on Symbian v9.2 operating system, supported by a Dual ARM 11 CPU at the speed of 332 MHz.

Through its on-board WAP v2.0, XHTML and HTML browsers, the Nokia N95 8GB allows Internet access for its users. High-speed Internet connection through the mobile phone is made possible through the 3G HSDPA that is integrated to the Nokia N95 8GB’s system. As its advanced features, the sleek mobile phone is also pre-installed with Data GPRS 32 at 64.2 kbps; EDGE Class 32 at 296 kbps; and DTM Class 11 at 177 kbps.

Connectivity options of the Nokia N95 8GB include support for Bluetooth 2.0 version with A2DP, infrared and miniUSB version 2.0.

The Nokia N95 8GB houses a 5-Megapixel camera of a 2592 x 1944 resolution that allows both photo shooting and video recording, playback and streaming at 30fps. Users can expect quality photo and video outputs from the Nokia N95 8GB, as it comes with Carl Zeiss optics that is integrated with autofocus and flash features. The N95 8GB also has a secondary camera for video-call purposes. Busy bodies will appreciate the built-in handsfree system of the Nokia N95 8GB.

As an added feature, the Nokia N95 8GB has a pre-installed Maps application that covers more than 100 countries. It also comes with an on-board A-GPS receiver function. The mobile phone also supports viewing of standard MSOffice files through its Document Viewer.

The Nokia N95 8GB flaunts of support for quality sound. It offers users a host of ring tones in polyphonic types, at 64 channels. It also supports MP3, true tones and monophonic audio formats.

Essentially, the Nokia N95 8GB supports text messaging or SMS and multimedia messaging or MMS. As it allows Internet access, the Nokia N95 8GB supports email clients and instant messaging. It has a memory phonebook that allows practically unlimited entry of contacts and other fields. The handset also supports the photocall system, for users to view their contacts, both when calling or receiving calls.

To keep its users entertained, the Nokia N95 8GB has a music player that supports audio formats of MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ and WMA. What’s more, the N95 8GB handset houses an FM Radio. For that private listening experience, users may connect the mobile phone’s headphone on its on-board 3.5 millimetre audio jack. In addition, the Nokia N95 8GB allows game-lovers to enjoy games from the Internet, as the mobile phone supports downloaded game versions in Java formats.

A BL-6F Li-Ion battery of 1200mAH powers the Nokia N95 8GB. Usage of the Nokia N95 8GB can last up to 6 hours of talk time. The mobile phone also offers standby time of up to 280 hours.

As compared with the original N95, Nokia’s N95 8GB owners find the handset’s user interface to be snappier, with a quicker boot-up time. The N95 8GB also eliminated a media menu of the original N95 version, resulting to faster navigation.

However, some users cite that a limitation of the Nokia N95 8GB is that, like its iPhone counterpart, the mobile phone has an internal memory that is not expandable. Moreover, the Nokia N95 8GB does not support the use of a card reader for transfer of files.

Additionally, dissatisfied users complain that while the N95 8GB does not activate when placed in the pocket, but is more susceptible to scratches. Others also point out that compared to the original version, the Nokia N95 8GB seems rather chunky.

is a good phone. BUT, the battery will die every few hours (4-5), lcd on phone is incredibly weak and cracks very easily, phone will glitch up continuesly, phone shuld not be pluged into PC running latest version of PC suite (phone will becom bricked instantly).

This is an appalling phone to have - yes the camera is great but I am now on my 3rd phone and it has had to be rebooted twice due to "software" issues! The battery needs recharging every night. The web browser shuts down whenever I use it. More recently I loose signal to the phone and it wears the battery out teying to find the SP again. Just yesterday the phone powered out three hours after taking it off a full charge.

Wish I had gone for the iPhone instead!

Nokia N95 is a very luxarious phone which include 8 GB Built in Memory. this phone is fancy. This include built in gps which make the journey easier for the people. 8 Gb built in memory makes the best use of mobile phone and dont need to cary another digital camera and the 5 megapixel of camera give a clear picture which is very desired to any person. Nokia is a world famous company in mobile manufactureing. Nokia N95 is an wonderful invention of Nokia. Overall, I am happy with this phone. Tx Nokia Group.

The Nokia N95 8GB - An excellent innovation. The 5 MegaPixel auto focus camera is the best thus far, giving photos of pin sharp view on the luminous screen.The music and video is also exceptional providing excellent musical sound and viewing. The 8GB Internal Memory really needs some beating with enough capacity to back - up the whole PC. Added features such as the in-built Navigation systems ensures you'll always find your way!! All round an extremely durable phone!!

Overall this is cell phone is just superb as its features shows.8gb memory is something you would love it can store much of your data which you want to store.As far as its look goes its a slider and a slider itself look good to use.On other hand it has 5 mega mixel camera which increadible.In short this cell phone can be defined as a complete cell phone with all features required by a user. finally i can say Nokia N95 8GB is a minicomputer.

OVERALL THIS PHONE IS SET AT AN EXTREAMELLY HIGH STANDARD AS A 8GB MEMORY MEANS IT NEEDS FEATURES TO FILL THAT CAPACITY.tHE PHONE HAS A 5MP DIGITAL CAMERA THAT TAKES GREAT PICTURES AND GREAT VIDEOS.IT HAS A MP3 MUSICPLAYER WITH SPEAKERS LOCATED EITHER SIDE OF THE DEVISE.THIS MEANS THE VOLUME IS BALNCED BUT LOAD. THE PHOE ALSO HAS DVD LIKE VIDEO PLAYING ALOWING YOU TO DOWNLOAD FILMS ONTO IT TO WATCH OUT AND ABOUT.
