Motorola has been acknowledged around the world for acquiring such modern mobile phone with features that any other mobile phones do not have. Motorola has provided the world with mobile phones that exceed one's expectations such as the T720i phones and the newly developed W180 phones.
The Motorola W180 was introduced in October 2007 and been enjoyed by a lot of consumers worldwide. Well the phone itself has dimensions of 114 mm by 43 mm by 14 mm, so basically it really is a thin mobile phone that you could just hide in anywhere. It has a band of GSM 900/1800 and GSM 850/1900. It weighs about 85 grams and just by looking at that, it really is light, you won't even feel you have something in your pocket. Its battery is the standard type, the Lithium ion powered batteries, which could last in about 5 hours and 50 minutes in talk time and could last up to 465 hours when it is on stand by. It has a display screen of 128 by 128 65k Color Super-Twist Nematic or CSTN. This mobile phone comes in black for elegance and it could match any of your get ups.
The Motorola W180 could handle up to 500 phone numbers in your phonebook, 10 dialed numbers with 10 received calls and 10 missed calls in its call memory. It has an internal user memory of 70 kilobytes and it can store 750 messages. You could take the latest songs in the radio with you since the Motorola W180 has a built-in FM radio that you could listen to anytime and anywhere. It has an access to 40 downloadable iMelody ringtones with its USB version 1.1 and this USB is also used for flexed charging. The speakers of the Motorola W180 are guaranteed to be office-quality, making it loud enough for you to listen to. If ever you get bored, it has 3 pre-loaded games for you in addition to the currency converter and calendar. The phone also features 7 different African languages and it has a text for writing called Hinglish combining Hindi and English languages for your text messages.
However, not all the mobile phones with fantastic features are perfect; in fact, nothing on this planet is perfect. So, before you buy anything, you also have to look at its not so good side. In the case of the Motorola W180, it sounds like a really magnificent mobile phone; however, its magnificence ends after a few hours of usage. Actually if you would look closely at its battery life, you would realize that it's just like the other phones, nothing really that special about it. If you would compare it to other mobile phone products, they even have a longer battery life. The phone also has a poor connectivity. In contrast with newer models of phones which have Bluetooth, infrared or WLAN, the Motorola W180 is simply just one USB-phone which needs a USB port and without it, it could no longer transfer or download things.
Generally speaking, Motorola W180 is just one colored phone, which performs the main use of a mobile phone—used for communication. It could feed in to one's entertainment with its en suite FM radio and its games and it could also be useful for workers especially to people who misses the days a lot and for those who works in banks and as a money exchanger since it has a converter—this converter could also be used by engineers when they convert a mile to centimeters.
Aside from these, however, its basic functionalities are a major turn off for those who'd like to keep up with the latest technology available. It doesn't have its own camera nor can it play pre-recorded audio because of its limited memory.
For people who aren't into the latest gadgets, the Motorola W180 could really be very useful and even though its battery's life is just an average one since you wouldn't really do much with it except to send SMS and to call someone and other than those necessities, you could be sure that this phone could last long enough until you get home.
