About LG

LG mobile phones are made by LG Electronics, South Korea's second largest electronics maker and part of the South Korean conglomerate LG Group. In 2007 LG sold 78.5 million mobile phones amounting to 6.8% of the global market share and putting it in 5th place.

LG Mobile was originally in the UK for some oversized unreliable early 3G mobile phones on Three. It took some time for them to change this perception but it started in 2006 with the LG Chocolate series of mobile phones.

It is thought that LG will soon be challenging Sony Ericsson for fourth place in the global market share race for mobile phones.
