A report from December 2010 has revealed that there are over 22 million mobile phone subscribers throughout Kenya - a 55% penetration rate.
Figures from June 2009 show that there at 3.360 million Internet users, just 8.6% of the country's population. However, this has grown from 0.7% in 2000, and 7.9% in 2008.
The same report from 2009 shows that mobile phones outnumber fixed lines by around 20:1 in the East African country.
