About Poland
Poland, officially the Republic of Poland, is a country in Central Europe. Poland is bordered by Germany to the west; the Czech Republic and Slovakia to the south; Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania to the east; and the Baltic Sea and Kaliningrad Oblast, a Russian exclave, to the north. The population density of it is 122/sq km. It has a population growth rate of -0.045%. Most of Poland's people belong to Roman Catholic religion. The official and most common language of those people is Polish. It has 96.7% of Polish and rests are German, Belarusian and Ukrainian people. Poland has pursued a policy of economic liberalization since 1990 and today stands out as a success story among transition economies. In 2007, GDP grew an estimated 6.5%, based on rising private consumption, a jump in corporate investment, and EU funds inflows. Poland's gross domestic product (GDP) as of 2007 estimate is approximately $620.9 billion with GDP of $16,600 per capita.
