About the Netherlands
The Netherlands is the European part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which consists of the Netherlands, the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba in the Caribbean. The population density of it is 395/sq km. It has a population growth rate of 0.436%. Most of Netherlands's people belong to Roman Catholic religion. The official and most common language of those people is Dutch. It has 80.4% of Dutch and 19.6% of other people. The Netherlands has a prosperous and open economy, which depends heavily on foreign trade. The economy is noted for stable industrial relations, moderate unemployment and inflation, a sizable current account surplus, and an important role as a European transportation hub. Industrial activity is predominantly in food processing, chemicals, petroleum refining, and electrical machinery. Netherlands's gross domestic product (GDP) as of 2006 estimate is approximately 670,929 Billion with GDP of $35,078 per capita.
