About Kenya

The Republic of Kenya is a country in East Africa. The official and most common language of those people are Swahili and English. It has many ethnic groups like Kikuyu, Luhya, Luo, Kalenjin, Kamba, Kisii, Meru, other African and non-African people. The regional hub for trade and finance in East Africa, Kenya has been hampered by corruption and by reliance upon several primary goods whose prices have remained low. In 1997, the IMF suspended Kenya's Enhanced Structural Adjustment Program due to the government's failure to maintain reforms and curb corruption. Kenya's gross domestic product (GDP) as of 2005 estimate is approximately $48.33 billion with GDP of $1,445 per capita.
