About Grenada

Grenada is an island nation that includes the southern Grenadines in the southeastern Caribbean Sea. The population of Grenada is approximately 90,343. The population density of it is 259.5/sq km. It has a population growth rate of 0.406%. Most of Grenada's people belong to Roman Catholic religion. Official and most common language of those people is English. It has 82% of black people and 18% of mixed black and European, European and East Indian people. Grenada relies on tourism as its main source of foreign exchange, especially since the construction of an international airport in 1985. Strong performances in construction and manufacturing, together with the development of an offshore financial industry, have also contributed to growth in national output. Grenada's gross domestic product (GDP) as of 2001 estimate is approximately $440 million with GDP of $5,000 per capita.
