About Gambia

The Gambia, officially the Republic of the Gambia, commonly known as Gambia, is a country in Western Africa. The Gambia has no confirmed mineral or natural resource deposits and has a limited agricultural base. About 75% of the population depends on crops and livestock for its livelihood. Small-scale manufacturing activity features the processing of peanuts, fish, and hides. Gambia's gross domestic product (GDP) as of 2005 estimate is approximately $3.094 billion with GDP of $2,002 per capita.
