About Finland
Finland, officially the Republic of Finland, is a Nordic country situated in the Scandinavian region of northern Europe. It has borders with Sweden to the west, Russia to the east, and Norway to the north, while Estonia lies to its south across the Gulf of Finland. The capital city is Helsinki. The population density of it is 16/sq km. It has a population growth rate of 0.112%. Most of Finland's people belong to Lutheran Church of Finland religion. Official and most common language of those people are Finnish, Swedish. It has 94% of Finn and rest are Swede, Russian, Estonian, Roma (Gypsy) and Sami people. Finland has a highly industrialized; largely free-market economy with per capita output roughly that of the UK, France, Germany, and Italy. Its key economic sector is manufacturing - principally the wood, metals, engineering, telecommunications, and electronics industries. Finland's gross domestic product (GDP) as of 2005 estimate is approximately $163 billion with GDP of $34,819 per capita.
