In term of economy, Ethiopia's poverty-stricken economy is based on agriculture, accounting for almost half of GDP, 60% of exports, and 80% of total employment. It has natural resources such as Potash, salt, gold, copper, platinum, natural gas (unexploited).Its Purchasing power parity domestic product (GDP) as of 2007 estimate is approximately $62.19 billion with GDP of $800 per capita.
