The Republic of Cape Verde, is a island nation located on an archipelago in the Macaronesia ecoregion of the North Atlantic Ocean, off the western coast of Africa. The economy is service-oriented, with commerce, transport, tourism, and public services accounting for about three-fourths of GDP. Cape Verde's gross domestic product (GDP) as of 2007 estimate is approximately $3.905 billion with GDP of $7,904 per capita.
