About Argentina

Argentina is a South Americann country, constituted as a federation of twenty-three provinces and an autonomous city. It is second in size on the South American continent to Brazil and eighth in the world. In terms of size, Argentina has a total area of 2,766,890 sq km. It has experienced solid growth since 2003, driven by a construction boom in hotels and housing that which should wind down in 2008. Tourism continues to dominate the economy, accounting for more than half of GDP. Argentina's gross domestic product (GDP) as of 2006 estimate is approximately $1.526 billion with GDP of $18,300 per capita.
