ICE in your mobile
Tuesday, March 6th, 2007Many people carry their mobile phones with hundreds of names and numbers stored in its memory.
However a mobile phone can also be a tool that a stranger can use to help if you are ever injured or unwell.
The way to do this is to put “ICE” in your mobile.
(This does NOT mean putting your mobile in the long iced drink that you may be sipping in a bar – as that may cause damage!)
“ICE” in this context means “In Case of Emergency”.
Under the name ICE put the details of any emergency contacts that you would want a stranger to find and use.
Maybe your partner’s phone number, or that of your child or doctor.
These could be listed as ICE, ICE1, ICE2 etc.
ICE is becoming a recognised idea so please consider using it.
